Private Instruction
Yoga simply means union, or to unite. Yoga is an ancient tool that helps to restore the balance between body, mind and spirit. Traditionally yoga was taught one on one.
Individual instruction is integral in developing and deepening ones understanding of Yoga. A personalized Yoga practice can be designed from the assessment of your goals, needs and visions. I consider any injuries or illnesses that you may have and whether you are looking to build strength, increase flexibility, heal an injury, improve your health or develop your spirituality. Private lessons provide a setting in which these can be completely addressed.
Learning and practicing Asanas(postures) and Pranayamas (breathing exercises) at your own pace and within your own range is the most effective way to realize the benefits of yoga.
Benefits of Private Instruction
* Great for beginners! Work one-on-one with a teacher to go over specific poses and proper alignment.
* For experienced practitioners. Safely learn advanced poses such as headstand, handstand, backbends, crow.
* Work with injuries. Learn how to modify poses to begin to heal your injuries (ie. knees, back, shoulder, wrist).
